Mobile Trailer Repair Where The Trailer Is Parked

Trailer brake, air, lighting, suspension, landing gear and door repair brought to your yard, dock or drop lot — including welding on cracked decks and crossmembers.

About this service

A trailer is a simpler machine than a tractor, which is exactly why it gets neglected. It only moves when something else pulls it, and the faults that build up quietly — a worn camshaft bush that stops the brakes releasing, a chafed air line, a crossmember cracking under a forklift — tend to surface at the worst possible moment for a delivery schedule.

Mobile trailer repair means the trailer gets fixed where it is standing: your drop lot, your dock, a customer's yard, or a consignee who has just refused to load it. There is no hook, no drop fee, and no trailer sitting in a queue somewhere while you explain to a customer why the load is late.

What mobile trailer repair involves

Air and brake systems

Rotten air lines and gladhands, leaking couplers, relay and quick-release valves, brake chambers, slack adjusters, worn linings and drums, and the camshaft and bush problems that stop long-stroke brakes releasing properly. We set the brake adjustment correctly and verify the system holds pressure.

Electrical and lighting

Blown lamps and bad grounds, cracked and corroded 7-way plugs and cords, chafed harnesses rubbed through by a body bolt, failed ABS sensors and the wiring that lives under a trailer deck and gets hammered by road spray. Lights are the number one thing a DOT officer sees.

Suspension and running gear

Worn springs and broken leaves, failed air bags and bag mounts, loose and worn equalisers, torque arm and shackle bushes, cracked spring hangers, and wheel-end faults including leaking seals and rough bearings.

Landing gear

Bent and stripped legs, seized gearboxes, broken crank handles, and cross shafts that make raising a loaded trailer an argument. Landing gear is repaired or replaced on site so the trailer can be dropped and used.

Doors, roofs and bodies

Roll-up doors that bind or come off track, cracked panels, damaged hinges and lock rods, swing-door seals, leaking roof patches, and the side damage that turns a usable trailer into a rejected load.

Welding and structural repair

Cracked crossmembers, broken door posts, damaged landing gear legs, punctured panels and failed suspension hangers welded and reinforced — the repairs that keep a trailer earning instead of being written off.

Kingpin and upper coupler

Worn and damaged kingpins, cracked bolster plates, worn fifth-wheel contact surfaces and loose fasteners — an out-of-service item when it is wrong, and a serious one.

Common problems we are called for

If any of the following sounds familiar, call dispatch and describe it — it helps us send the right technician and the right parts on the first trip.

  • Brakes dragging, running hot, or failing to release
  • Air leaking audibly at the trailer or system losing pressure
  • Lights out, flickering, or blowing the same fuse repeatedly
  • Trailer leaning, sagging, or riding on a collapsed air bag
  • Landing gear stripped, bent, or impossible to crank
  • Roll-up door off track or refusing to lock
  • Cracked crossmember or a soft, sagging trailer deck
  • Worn or damaged kingpin picked up on an inspection
  • Roof or panel leak soaking freight
  • Trailer rejected by a consignee or shipper over damage

How Allday Fleet Solutions helps

Trailers are our bread and butter in drop-lot and drayage operations. A trailer fleet that is repaired in place keeps turning, and we build the mobile call around that reality — working to a unit list, walking the lot, and fixing several trailers in one visit wherever the geography allows.

Because a trailer can legitimately be repaired anywhere it stands, most trailer work is finished on the first call. Brakes, air, lighting, landing gear, doors and welding all travel; only major body reconstruction really needs the shop.

For reefers we handle the trailer side — wiring, doors, curbside damage, suspension and deck — and can advise on refrigeration unit faults and coordinate the right specialist when a unit itself needs service.

We handle mobile trailer repair across the commercial vehicle types below and more. If your unit is not listed, call anyway — the list is not exhaustive.

Questions

Mobile Trailer Repair — frequently asked

Do you charge a drop or hook fee for trailer work?

No. Because we come to the trailer, there is no tow, no hook and no drop fee — you pay for the repair, not for moving the trailer to a shop that can do it.

Can you repair a trailer that is still loaded?

For most faults, yes. Brakes, air, lighting, landing gear, door and welding work are all done with the trailer loaded. Where the repair needs the deck clear or the trailer empty, we will tell you before starting.

My trailer was rejected at a consignee due to damage. Can you fix it there?

That is exactly the situation mobile trailer repair exists for. Call dispatch with the damage and the location; if the repair needs a shop we will say so, but a great deal of rejection damage — lamps, doors, panels, brakes, air line faults — is repairable on the spot so the load still delivers.

Do you weld aluminum trailer panels as well as steel?

We weld steel trailer structure — crossmembers, hangers, kingpin plates, door posts and deck repair. Tell dispatch the material and the damage when you call so the right service truck and equipment is sent.

Can you inspect and prepare my trailer fleet before a DOT blitz?

Yes. We can walk a trailer fleet on site, correct the brake, air, lighting, coupling and tyre faults we find, and document the work — a much cheaper exercise than losing trailers to roadside inspections.
